“eimkeith” Panhard Correction Kit Ordered!

Unfortunately, my axle has been delayed by the seller…I’m starting to get a bad feeling.  He says he got a terrible freight quote and is looking for another.  Today is day 20 though, and as far as I know the axle is still sitting in NY state. Hopefully I get a shipping confirmation soon!

The silver lining to the situation, though, is that “eimkeith” on t4r.org is now selling his panhard correction kits for 4th & 5th Gen 4Runners.  This should now perfectly coincide with my restoration of the FJ axle so I can weld on the piece while it’s all off the truck.  I’m not an experienced welder, so this should be a good little project for me, but of course, I will have a consultant to make sure it’s not gonna snap while I’m out on or off the road!

For anyone asking, “what is a panhard correction kit?”, it’s a bracket that raises the mounting point of the panhard bar to the axle so that after you have lifted the truck, you can retain factory suspension components and geometry.  I’m hoping this will really stabilize my trucks feel when I hit bumps at speed, in a turn.
