I Built a Drop Slide for My Portable Fridge

This project was a fun one, and a little trying at times.  I had seen these types of slides online, but if you were to order one pre-made, you’re looking at over $500!  Even a standard slide like the ARB Fridge Slide is a pretty penny.  All in, I was about $110 (slides, steel & harware) – I already had welding supplies.

So, with my little bit of ingenuity, and willingness to try, I ended up building my own for a fraction of the price.  Admittedly, I’m sure the pre-built ones have a more professional feel and look. But to me, I don’t need something in my trunk to look cool.  I also took the liberty of making it convertible between a drop slide and flat slide.

I will have a more formal write up in my DIY section for you all to reference.  Maybe you’ll have some takeaways, maybe not.

Let me know your thoughts!
