Before I go any further, everyone was okay! Fortunately, my wife was driving a lifted 4Runner, and when she hit that deer going 55mph, it bounced off like a brick wall, instead of flopping up on the hood. While doing that, however, it also caused over $18,000 in damages between the airbags and body work…ugh.
Never fear though! We are a 4Runner family after all. Since it is a 4Runner, our insurance payout was very generous. And because we were almost done paying the 2015 off, we were able to essentially extend our same payment into a brand new 2019 Limited! It doesn’t feel quite right because it’s so soon, but we’ll love it all over again.
